Establishing the growing importance of emerging domestic sectors in the country, IndiGo has launched six new flights on its domestic network. The low-cost carrier will operate its fifth daily non-stop flight between Mumbai and Goa and fourth daily non-stop flight between Kolkata and Guwahati. Furthermore, the airlines will operate its second daily non-stop flight between Mumbai and Guwahati. Additionally, the airline will also now connect Guwahati with Goa via Mumbai
Speaking on the launch of the new flights, Aditya Ghosh, president, IndiGo said, “We are delighted to announce the take-off of IndiGo’s new flights between Guwahati, Mumbai, Kolkata and Goa. We are confident that these additional flights will prove immensely convenient for our passengers.”
With 578 flights connecting 37 destinations across the globe, these new flights commencing on February 07, 2015 will further consolidate IndiGo’s position as one of the fastest growing airline in India, thus resonating the airline’s expansion plan.
