The rollercoaster launches guests from inside the park at 102 kmph through the famous glass funnel, propelling them vertically through the iconic red roof to the highest point on Yas Island
One of the UAE’s famed attractions, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi has launched its latest addition, Turbo Track rollercoaster. The ride was launched at an inaugural event attended by H E Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman of Miral; Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral and Luca Fuso, Ferrari’s chief brand officer, along with other dignitaries.
“Today, we are celebrating the exceptional story of how a world-class rollercoaster came to be. We are extremely humbled by the passionate drive that continues to fuel the minds and hearts of our team at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and those who diligently worked behind the scenes to bring this new ride to life. Turbo Track isn’t just a rollercoaster; it’s an experience that combines the passion rooted in Ferrari’s traditions and values, with the excitement of a unique thrill ride. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is going to be the location for mega rollercoaster enthusiasts all over the world,” said Jesse Vargas, general manager, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
With this addition, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi has expanded the theme park’s portfolio to 37 rides and attractions.
“This new development reflects our commitment to continuously invest in new attractions that support our efforts in making Yas Island an unrivaled destination for leisure and entertainment,” said Mohamed Al Zaabi.
Turbo Track is another first for the park, with major structural changes made to the building to accommodate it. The rollercoaster launches guests from inside the park at 102 kmph through the famous glass funnel, propelling them vertically through the iconic red roof to the highest point on Yas Island at 64 m, before they experience zero gravity as they plummet vertically back down. Turbo Track becomes the third ride to be launched at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi in the last 12 months.
