The ‘GM’s Conclave’ panel discussion at FHW Goa 2017, being held in state capital Panaji, witnessed participation from leading hotels and resorts in Goa such as Alila Diwa Goa, Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort, The Leela Goa, W Goa and Novotel Hotel & Resorts. The ‘FHW Trendsetter Honours’ also saw different segments in the hospitality industry get recognised for their work in the Goa market.

The speakers on the panel Siddharth Savkur, general manager, Alila Diwa Goa; Nikhil Sasidharan, general manager; The Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort; Shridhar Nair, general manager, The Leela Goa, TJ Joulak, general manager, W Goa and Rohan Sable, general manager, Novotel Goa Resorts & Spa and Novotel Goa Shrem Hotel, shared their insights on the topic. All the general managers agreed that Goa still has a lot of potential as a wedding destination and factors like better infrastructure can further give fillip to the segment, along with tourism boost.
‘FHW Goa Trendsetter Honours’ recognised the contribution of leading hospitality brands and individuals in the Goa market. Those honoured included Grand Hyatt Goa, Goa Marriott Resort and Spa, W Goa, The Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort, Novotel Goa Resorts & Spa, Alila Diwa Goa, The Leela Goa, Sol de Goa, The Zuri Whitesands, A Reverie, Magsons Group, Hard Rock Hotel Goa. Ralph D’Souza, founder, de Souza Group, was recognised with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
In addition, the conferencing the live workshop sessions attracted a large proportion of audience.
