He may be one of the most successful Bollywood stars ever, but for Shah Rukh Khan, it seems, it was always mostly so.
Now that he has huge global fame and is acclaimed for his mammoth achievements, Shah Rukh Khan says that it wasn’t that hard for him to reach his current level of success, but there are setbacks to contend with.
At an event to launch of the book by Sania Mirza’s father Imran Mirza titled ‘Ace Against Odds,’ which chronicles her rise to the top as one of the most prominent sports personas of India, Shah Rukh Khan opened up about his own journey and the odds that he faced.
“Mine has been a fortunate journey. I can’t really romanticize too many obstacles along the way,” the 50-year-old star told the media here.
The ‘Fan’ star continued saying, “When you are successful, you lose the ability to surprise; you lose the ability to fail. That’s a little difficult to deal with.”

“There is no alternative to hard work and that is what you keep doing. You wake up every morning and try to work a little bit harder. If I am successful, I have to work hard to be able to retain it, if I am unsuccessful, I have to work hard to regain it,” he added.
On the work front, he will be seen in ‘Raees,’ which is slated to release in 2017, and Gauri Shinde’s next film alongside Alia Bhatt, possibly titled ‘Dear Zindagi.’
