The world on Thursday will witness the second eclipse of the season – a partial solar eclipse also known as Aanshik Surya Grahan. The celestial wonder will take place weeks after the skywatchers enjoyed one of the rarest phenomena in space- ‘Super Blue Blood Moon’ which took place on January 31. In total solar eclipse where the Moon moves between the Sun and Earth. This way it blocks the rays of the sun and would cast a shadow on parts of Earth. However, in partial solar eclipse, the Sun, Moon and Earth are not perfectly aligned and the Moon partially obscures the Sun’s disk and screens the Sun’s disk and casts its penumbra on Earth.
