The new experiment will be known as Mars Science City.
In an amazing experiment, United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced building a 1.9 million square foot simulated Mars settlement which will have some impossible to believe features. The new experiment will be known as Mars Science City. The city is aimed to house various laboratories simulating the planet’s terrain. The report says that team building the structure is tasked with using advanced 3D printing techniques, and heat and radiation insulation to mimic the harsh environment of our neighbor, www.engadget.com reports.
The ‘city’ will work as a laboratory that Scientists will use to develop technologies to provide food, water and energy on Mars. It is said that as per experiments, only potato will be available if a colony is developed on the red planet. However, thanks to this lab, settlers may get different food items from potatoes in their new home.
Not only laboratories, this man-made city will house a museum showcasing humanity’s greatest space achievements. In a likely eyeball grabber, the museum will also boast 3D-printed walls made of sand from the country’s desert. It will also feature a space park meant to engage kids and ignite their interest in space.
The UAE space department is also planning to house a group of people in the laboratory once it is up. So, if you too are planning experience the red planet, this new project is something you should keenly look forward to.
