Kaabil poster released: Hrithik Roshan released the poster of his upcoming action thriller Kaabil on December 3 – a date that has special meaning given the film’s plot because it coincides with World Disability Day. Hrithik Roshan and Yami Rautam play characters in the film who are blind. The actor captioned the photo, “Some have eyes but they can’t see. Some can see but have no eyes. See you on 25th Jan 2017.” It’s quite in keeping with the film’s message, which follows Hrithik’s character as he battles corrupt forces within the legal system and brings the people responsible for killing his love interest to justice.
In the poster, a shadow tactfully falls over Hrithik’s eyes and one has to wonder why the letter I in the title is a different colour, red, from the rest of the letters. Possibly to foreshadow the bloodshed, after all, it is a revenge drama. It could also signal the sense of self, as Hrithik has to rely on his own strengths when the justice system fails him. The possibilities are endless, but one thing’s for sure, this poster has gotten us excited for Kaabil’s release.
The film, which also starts Rohit and Ronit Roy, is slated to release on January 25 next year – a day before Shahrukh Khan’s gangster flick Raees, according to an article in First Post.
