International Yoga Day celebrations happened across the country with active participation from citizens all over India. PM Narendra Modi led a Yoga campaign from Capitol Complex,Chandigarh along with 30000 other participants. Narendra Modi addressed the nation on this occassion and called Yoga a religious activity rather than just a physical one.

Moreover, 57 Union ministers also held similiar Campaigns across the nation, including Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and HRD Minister Smriti Irani, among others. While Modi had been tweeting about Yoga Day from a few days,similiar enthusiasm was seen by the Ministers.
