Kerala, which has been contributing the most (60-70%) to India’s Covid-19 tally for the past few weeks, has seen a sharp decline in this seven-day average; from 27,673 on September 8, it has dropped to 20,079 on Wednesday. In Maharashtra, the second-biggest contributor, the average fell to 3,589 for 4,077 a week ago.
