Coronavirus July 3rd Latest Updates: After the June surge, the trend of uptick in coronavirus cases is continuing in India for second month in a row. While the daily cases are coming down a notch for last 48 hours, there has been a sharp increase in the active case count. The health ministry data says that India on Sunday recorded 16,103 new Covid-19 infection in the span of one day. However, there was a surge in active cases. The official records show that the country detected over 2,000 active Covid cases. With this, the country now has 1,11,711 active coronavirus cases. This is the third consecutive day of over 1 lakh active cases in India. In terms of fatalities, the death count stand at 31.
