The festival of Lohri is celebrated particularly in North India every year in the month of January. It is said that the festival marks the end of the longest winter night and the next day breaks into dawn with summer sunshine. During the night of Lohri, people assemble in parks, gardens or other areas nearby their residence to lit a bonfire and celebrate the occasion.
