Sigur Ros, post-rock band from Iceland, known for their inventive ambient music and scenic live shows, are live-streaming a 24-hour car journey around their country as a continuous track.

For the project called ‘Route One’ which is a road that circles around Iceland, they have used an application called ‘Bronze’, described as ‘generative music software’ and is created by musician Gwilym Gold and producer Lexxx and scientists from Goldsmiths College, University in London.

The app will take cues from Sigur Ros’ latest track ‘Ovedur.’

Bandmember Jonsi Birgisson told Pitchfork, “In a day and age of instant gratification and everything moving so fast, we wanted to do the exact opposite. Slow TV is counter-active to the world we live in, in that it happens in real time and real slow.”
