Pokemon GO is quite engaging, even captivating and some have even gone and said it is quite habit forming and therefore will only increase the population of obese and unhealthy people in the world, and yet, here is an input with a difference.

Fitness technology venture that provides lifestyle coaching service, GOQii today organised a ‘Pokemon Go’ themed walk this time for their ‘Active Sunday’ session and used this rivetting new mobile game in an innovative way to create a novel experience for the users even as they got plenty of exercise.
GOQii runs an ‘Active Sunday’ session every weekend for its users and they get to experience different work outs on a weekly basis like Yoga, Stretching, running and more.

The Pokemon GO based event was held in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, and saw over 700-800 gaming enthusiasts across age groups come forward to play the game. Mumbai alone saw as many as 470+ users – this “walk with a purpose” took place around the Hiranandani Garden where GOQii invited its users with the Pokemon Go app installed on their smartphones.

While teenagers were excited to go through their paces, parents with kids, too excitedly chased after the Pokemon GO game. It was an extremely competitive situation with everyone trying to reach the highest level of the game.
