Google already is one of the dominating companies in the Operating system market with its Android and Chrome OS, but now according to ‘Android Police’ there is another new operating system being made called ‘Fuchsia.’ Though, Google has not revealed anything yet according to some documentation and codes present in the online project hosting website GitHub. With a plan to make the OS compatible for any or every device, including embedded ones like from car dashboards and thermostats, Google plans to not base it on Linux, unlike Android and Chrome OS.

According to the codes present, one can say that apart from different kinds of devices, the OS will still run on smartphones and computers. Reportedly, some advanced security and graphics features is also something in which Google will be working on. Additionally, Fuchsia makes use of Google’s Dart programming language and Material Design-friendly Flutter user interface framework. ‘Fuchsia’ is a kind of flowering plant which covers almost 110 species.

There has been speculations since a long time, that ther will come a time when Google will decide to combine Chrome OS and Android. As a matter of fact even Chromebooks are now being upgraded to support Android applicaions. But as of now, Fuchsia looks like a new start.

The new OS Fuchsia, apparently blends pink and purple as its key colour. Google might treat the new OS like Tizen OS by Samsung which is a lightweight OS. Whether this is just an experiment by Google or if it will see the light of the day, remains to be seen.
