Third party services called add-ons were announced by Google on Friday for Android phones. The add-ons are for Docs and Sheets which will aid in working on Google’s office programs on the mobile. One can download the add-ons from Google Play store, or even within the ‘Google Docs and Sheets’. Google explained that this new feature can help the user in doing a variety of things which were unavailable earlier, like ProsperWorks can be used to pull in CRM data into spreadsheets, DocuSign’s will help in e-signing of contracts, AppSheet can be used as an analytics tool to find usage statistics for mobile apps, and the very useful Scanbot that will let you scan pages and create editable texts.

There are many other third party service partners like ZohoCRM, EasyBib, Teacher Aide, and PandaDoc, and Googles educational platform called Classroom. The add-ons have long been available for desktop softwares. An extensive list of third-party add-ons is also available for Google Apps and Google Drive. Starting with a respectable line-up, Google Play right now has a limited collection of Android Add-ons which work very seamlessly, and the list is expected to increase as more partners come aboard.
