Vodafone VoLTE is live now – Here is how to activate it on your smartphone

Vodafone made a huge announcement on Thursday that it has rolled out Voice-over-LTE, or VoLTE in particular circles in India. Now, people who use Vodafone in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Gujarat circles can now enjoy VoLTE services!

Vodafone made a huge announcement on Thursday that it has rolled out the next generation of LTE services, or Voice-over-LTE, or VoLTE in particular circles in India for the people who use Vodafone in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Gujarat circles. It should be noted that VoLTE will be active on smartphones that support this facility. Vodafone becomes the third telecom in the country with this move to roll out VoLTE calling facility after Reliance Jio and Airtel. It should be noted that the service of VoLTE is free of cost in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Gujarat. As per reports, more circles will now get the VoLTE support soon. Both prepaid and postpaid customers of Vodafone can enjoy the VoLTE services if their smartphone supports VoLTE. Here’s how you can activate Vodafone VoLTE on your smartphone:-

For iOS users follow these steps of activating Vodafone VoLTE

Step 1: Go to Settings
Step 2: Go to Mobile Data
Step 3: Look for Mobile Data Options
Step 4: Make sure to enable 4G
Step 5: Activate Voice & Data.
Note: Apple iPhones are not supported on Vodafone VoLTE for now. However, iOS is likely to get the update which will support VoLTE services soon.

For Android users follow these steps of activating Vodafone VoLTE

Step 1: Go to Settings
Step 2: Tap on Mobile networks
Step 3: Look for VoLTE option and turn on VoLTE call.
Step 4: If the VoLTE is still not active then, give a call to 198 for further assistance.

After you have completed these steps, your smartphone’s status bar will show VoLTE connection. It should be noted that most of the current generation smartphones support VoLTE call. However, if you still want to check whether your smartphone supports VoLTE, Vodafone has developed a website to check! As per the Vodafone’s website the smartphones that support Vodafone VoLTE service are: Nokia 8, Nokia 5, Honor View 10, Honor 9i, Honor 7X, Honor 8 Pro, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 3, Xiaomi Redmi 4, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, Xiaomi Mi Max 2, Samsung C9 Pro, and Samsung J7 Nxt.
