Artificial intelligence (AI) is not only helping big businesses but also helping small companies improve efficiency and accelerate growth. In a bid to help small businesses to get more done and thrive, Meta on Wednesday, August 19, introduced Meta AI features for small businesses. “We are building Meta AI to be a partner to small businesses, and this is just the beginning,” the tech giant said in its blog.
Perhaps the biggest highlight of the update is that it allows users to ask Meta AI questions about their businesses and get answers drawn from the context exclusive to them, such as engagement on their accounts and ad performance. Meta AI also brings publicly available insights about brands or companies that are comparable to the user’s business, offering a window into others building their presence on Meta.
With the new feature, small businesses can now choose to have Meta AI work directly with their Instagram and Facebook accounts, Meta ad campaigns, and Google Workspace, which includes Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Instagram and Facebook are increasingly becoming instrumental to the outreach measures adopted by small businesses, and the new AI features could likely prove pivotal in how they carry out day-to-day operations and monitor progress.
According to Meta, when Meta AI gets acquainted with all of the context in the same conversation, its responses become sharper and more personalised. Further, to enhance productivity, the dedicated Mac app allows one to share a window during a session to show the tasks one is working on. Meta said that the AI responds to users with tailored advice for the work in front of the user. Users can also use built-in dictation that works across all apps on Mac.
Meta said that businesses can prompt Meta AI to use information from their business info and the web to create decks, docs, and spreadsheets key to keeping the business growing. Besides, users can let Meta AI handle the work they have been doing manually by setting up recurring tasks and reminders to be updated on how the business is progressing.
AI adoption for business is rapidly proliferating, and Meta seems to be ensuring that no business is left behind. Meta said that it was building Meta AI to ensure that small businesses get access to tools that were once reserved for bigger businesses with much higher budgets and teams.
