The iQOO 9 series will obviously succeed the iQOO 8 line-up which was launched in China in May.

iQOO 12 India launch is just around the corner. The Vivo spin-off is set to launch the iQOO 12 in India on December 12. But that’s not the only phone that iQOO will launch before we ring into the new year. There’s more. iQOO has announced that it will also launch the iQOO 9 series in December, though it will be limited to China only.

The iQOO 9 series will obviously succeed the iQOO 8 line-up which was launched in China in May. There should be two models going by history. The iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro. Their first look, too, is out at the time of writing and we have ony one thing to say. The iQOO 9 series looks “refreshing”. But then again, iQOO seems to have hit gold when it comes to product designs lately. The iQOO 11, which is set to launch in India on December 12, also features revamped aesthetics after years of iQOO following a similar template. It’s nice to see iQOO rejigging its relatively more affordable product line, in line with the trend.

Now, there’s very little information about the iQOO 9 series from a hardware perspective but renders shared by iQOO on Chinese microblogging website Weibo confirm the line-up will boast of a dual-tone design. The hero colour is a combination of white and red, though the design scheme isn’t just limited to colour palette. iQOO seems to be using two different textures on the back of the iQOO 9 series phones, though both appear to have a leather/woven finish. In all probability, there should be more variants, but the red and white variant surely is a headline-grabber. Hopefully, iQOO plans to launch it in India at some point in time.

iQOO launched the iQOO Neo 7 Pro in India in July. The iQOO Neo 8 Pro with MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus is still awaited. The iQOO Neo 9 Pro is rumoured to get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. More details are awaited.
