If you are a JEE aspirant and are always open to getting more mock tests for free, Google’s Gemini has something for you. Google has expanded its AI-powered education tools collection by launching free full-length mock tests for the JEE Main exam directly within the Gemini app. This comes right on the heels of introducing practice SAT tests, thus aiming to make the AI bot a one-stop solution for all practical needs. The JEE Main mock tests aim to make high-quality exam preparation material more accessible for millions of students in India and beyond, eliminating the need for expensive coaching or paid resources.
The announcement came from the official Google Gemini account on X, stating, “Building on last week’s announcement of practice SATs in Gemini, you can now also take full-length mock JEE Main tests in Gemini at no cost.” A demo video accompanied the post, illustrating how students can initiate and complete the tests seamlessly within the platform.
To emphasize how crucial this update is, Google CEO Sundar Pichai chimed in with a hint of nostalgia. An IIT Kharagpur alumnus, Pichai prepared for his own engineering entrance exams decades ago, and reacted personally and enthusiastically to the update.
Quoting the Gemini post on X, he wrote, “If I could turn back time…. excited for SATs last week and JEE Main this week in Gemini at no cost!” His comment is a reference to the famous Cher song lyric, which resonated widely with engineering students all around. Pichai referenced how such AI-driven resources could have transformed preparation during his student days.
Gemini JEE Main mock tests: How to access
The JEE Main mock tests are powered by the Gemini 2.0 Flash thinking model and feature content reviewed by Google’s educational partners, including PhysicsWallah and Careers360, to ensure alignment with real exam patterns. Students can access them instantly by prompting Gemini with phrases like “I want to take a JEE Main mock test.” The full-length format simulates actual test conditions, providing instant feedback, performance analysis, and insights into areas needing improvement.
This follows the rollout of free SAT practice tests in collaboration with The Princeton Review, announced just a week earlier. Google Vice President Josh Woodward for Google Labs, Gemini, and AI Studio welcomed the JEE addition, posting, “Good morning India! A lot of you asked for full length mock JEE Main tests in @GeminiApp at no cost, done! Good luck on your prep! Last week, SAT. This week, JEE. What other global exams would be most helpful?”
Students welcome the update
The initiative has sparked enthusiastic reactions on social media, with users praising it as a “game changer” for students unable to afford premium coaching. “This is a game changer for students who cannot afford expensive coaching,” wrote one user on X, whereas another wrote, “Free full length mocks inside Gemini sounds unreal. Technology is finally levelling the field.” Another student reached out, stating, “As a JEE aspirant, this feels like a blessing.”
