Kai Trump, the granddaughter of US President Trump, is an 18-year-old media personality and YouTuber who lives a lavish life in Florida. Often spotted with her father golfing, she competes in the sport for the University of Miami. Not only does she go all out with her content, but she also spares no expense.
In her recent vlogs, she revealed on YouTube that she ‘brought her Secret Service to Erewhon,’ one of the most expensive stores in Los Angeles, more than 3000 km away from her Florida estate. With over 14 lakh subscribers on her platform, Kai revealed that she flew to try the viral Hailey Bieber smoothie, priced at $21 (Rs 1931), with other supplements such as collagen at $44 (Rs 4047).
Kai Trump flies 3000 km for groceries?
From a collagen creamer priced at $44 to peptides and other trending supplements, the store had it all. Inviting backlash on social media, her videographer even remarked how ‘they laid out the red carpet’ for her, as he showed empty streets and patrolling bikes as Kai ran errands in LA.
Kai also picked up a Shilajit Liquid Complex, Elderberry supplements, and Ashwagandha. After picking up four or five products, they estimated the cart to total over $100.
She even brought some hot food and a ready-to-eat meal at the counter. Grabbing some metal sippers, Kai Trump did not stop there. She picked up lavender lemonade, followed by a quick stop by the sweater aisle, priced at $150-160, as they browsed through a $165 yoga mat.
Commenting on the prices, Kai said, “I’m gonna go bankrupt. I’m gonna have to file for bankruptcy,” as she guessed that she had spent $400 already.
‘Daddy is rich’
Reacting to her splurge vlog, social media was abuzz with comments and speculations about her Secret Service arrangement. “How much did that cost the taxpayers?” questioned users on X, while others urged her to use her own money since ‘Daddy is rich’.
“Secret service detail for a $21 smoothie run. Only in Los Angeles,” remarked another netizen. “Nothing says ‘man of the people’ like your granddaughter needing an armed escort to buy a smoothie that costs more than a steak dinner. The bubble is real, and it’s flavoured like strawberry glaze,” commented a netizen.
“Kai can do whatever she wants, as this is a free country, but if she could maybe not use Mr Beast-type clickbait titles that mock American taxpayers during times of war, that would be great,” opined another concerned user on X.
