After 11 days of release, the Dhanush-Kriti Sanon starrer Tere Ishk Mein has officially entered the Rs 100 crore club. On its 11th day, the film earned Rs 2.5 crore at the box office, according to Sacnilk. Although this was the lowest daily collection so far, it helped the movie cross the Rs 100 crore milestone, with total earnings reaching Rs 102.54 crore.
Tere Ishk Mein now earning profits
Tere Ishk Mein, directed by Aanand L. Rai, has been earning profits steadily. The film had recovered 100 per cent of its budget of Rs 85 crore by its second Friday. On Day 8, it had already earned Rs 87.4 crore, and the profits continued despite competition from Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar. The arrival of the action thriller impacted Tere Ishk Mein’s performance, leading to its lowest collection on the second Monday.
The intense love story is estimated to score around Rs 6.75-7 crore net on its 10th day, which would take its domestic total to 100 crore net. The Hindi version of the film has collected approximately 95 crore net, while the Tamil version contributed an estimated 5 crore by the second Sunday.
Tere Ishk Mein remains strong at the box office despite new releases
Even with Dhurandhar dominating the weekend with over 75 per cent market share, Tere Ishk Mein performed well in its second weekend. Positive word of mouth helped the film achieve a major box office milestone.
This is a career first for Dhanush, as Tere Ishk Mein becomes his first Rs 100 crore net grosser. His previous highest grosser was the A-rated action thriller Raayan, which earned around 95 crore net across languages. This milestone comes with a Hindi film, which is not his primary language. Tere Ishk Mein is only Dhanush’s third Bollywood theatrical release after Raanjhanaa (2013) and Shamitabh (2015).
Reuniting the Raanjhanaa team
The film reunites the creative team of Raanjhanaa, including director Aanand L. Rai, actor Dhanush, composer AR Rahman, and writer Himanshu Sharma. Produced by Colour Yellow Productions, Tere Ishk Mein continues Rai and Dhanush’s successful collaboration in romantic dramas and brings back the familiar charm of their earlier projects.
With steady collections and growing audience support, Tere Ishk Mein has become one of the major box office successes of the year.
