Parasakthi vs Raja Saab box office collection day 5: Prabhas’ much-awaited The Raja Saab released on the big screen on January 9. While it was set to clash with Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, the Prabhas-starrer got a solo release after Vijay’s film was delayed amid legal battle with the CBFC.
The film now faces stiff competition from Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi, which was released a day later on January 10.
Parasakthi, or the ‘Supreme Power’, is also a political drama outlining the Tamil politics and language imposition in India. The Raja Saab, as the name suggests, is a classic royal drama with modern twists that have wowed audiences across states. There has been a significant difference between the box office collections of the two Baahubali leading actors.
Parasakthi box office collection day 5
Directed by Sudha Kongara, Parasakthi stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Sreeleela, Atharvaa, and Rana Daggubati in key roles. It opened with a Rs 12 crore collection on its debut Saturday. Experiencing a steady decline, Sunday found another low at Rs 10 crore. The weekday slump hit Parasakthi hard, with just a total of Rs 6 crore in collections. After a strenuous four days, the Tamil political drama had grossed Rs 28 crore, reported Sacnilk.
The Raja Saab box office collection day 5
Prabhas’ Raja Saab has made big waves at the box office with its Rs 9 crore advance collections alone. Starting 2026 on a high note, The Raja Saab became 2026’s biggest opener with Rs 53.75 crore collections. However, the Prabhas movie also experienced a steep decline on Saturday, but remained close to the Rs 30 crore mark. However, it rapidly dipped to Rs 19 crore on the weekend itself, and failed to find a footing on Monday. Grossing Rs 10 crore on weekdays, the overall five-day collection reached Rs 119 crore in India.
Including the overseas collection, the royal drama collected over Rs 130 crore after day four. With Prabhas’ Raja Saab way ahead of single-language release Parasakthi, it also found itself in trouble with Vijay fans.
