Actor-producer Vidnyan Mane has made fresh allegations against singer-composer Palash Muchhal, who was recently in the news over his highly publicised fallout with ex-fiance, Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana. Mane claimed Muchhal her of over Rs 40 lakh related to an investment in an unreleased film. Mane has also blamed Muchhal for being unfaithful to Mandhana. He also stated that he has registered a complaint in Sangli, Maharashtra, as per a report by the Hindustan Times.
While speaking to the Hindustan Times, Mane, 34, claimed that he was also present at wedding-related celebrations on November 23, 2025 when Muchchal was allegedly “caught red-handed with another woman in bed.” He alleged, “I was at the wedding celebrations (November 23, 2025), when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. Bhayanka scene tha, he was beaten by the Indian female cricketers. I thought he would get married and settle in Sangli, but it has completely backfired on me.”
What are the allegations in the film investment issue?
Mane, claims to be a childhood friend of Mandhana has also alleged financial pressure related to the film project. In the Hindustan Times report, he claimed, “When I met his mother (Amita Muchhal) last month, she stated that the budget to launch the movie has now increased to Rs 1.5 crore. They asked me to invest another Rs 10 lakh or he won’t get his money back. They began blackmailing me and threatened to throw me out of the movie, so I was forced to register a complaint.”
He further claimed that the wedding was cancelled, he was blocked by the family, and mentioned that other artists related to the film were also not paid. Mane also claimed that he has saved proofs like chats and calls, and that he is willing to share them with the media and police.
How has Muchchal’s side reacted?
Muchhal’s advocate, Shreyansh Mithare, raised questions on the timing and substance of the allegations, as per a report by The Indian Express. He said what proof is there for any payments. Mithare mentioned that, “Vidnyan claimed that he has paid us money, but there is no proof of whether this payment was made through bank transaction or cheque. As per his allegations of Palash being caught with another woman, where is the proof?.” He also further added that, “We don’t even know this individual personally, we were introduced to him through Smriti’s father, Shrinivas. There has been no direct relation with him. Why did he remain quiet for so long? It is only after the wedding was called off that he surfaced. Palash is currently exploring his legal options.”
The wedding was slated to take place on November 23, 2025, but it was later postponed because of family health emergencies, and then it was called off in December 2025. Both sides have issued statements confirming that it won’t take place.
