Jordan’s Sinners, despite missing out at the Golden Globes, positioned itself as one of the season’s received 16 nominations across all categories. Adding to the buzz was A24’s big-budget Marty Supreme, which gave Timothée Chalamet renewed momentum with 8 mentions.

The nominations for the 98th Academy Awards were announced on Thursday, January 22, at 5:30 PM IST (8:30 AM ET / 5:30 AM PT).
The full livestream was hosted by actors Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman, who revealed the list of nominees. Viewers were able to watch the announcement live on the official Academy websites, Oscar.com and Oscar.org. In addition, the Academy streamed the event across its social media platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. The nominations were also broadcast on ABC’s Good Morning America, ABC News Live, and made available on Disney+ and Hulu, ensuring fans around the world didn’t miss a moment.
