Netflix’s most-watched TV shows 2025: OTT giant Netflix recently rolled out its list of the most-watched TV shows from July to December 2025. With much-awaited releases like the final season of Stranger Things and the second edition of Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday, the viewership doesn’t lie. As cult-favourite Stranger Things wrapped up after a decade, the Catherine Zeta Jones starrer left the viewers in another cliff-hanger plot.
As per the Netflix report, Wednesday Addams was the most-watched star on Netflix. Wednesday Season 2 garnered over 120 million views, topping the chart. While it beat Stranger Things Season 5 for the top spot, the Duffer Brothers’ franchise dominated the list. Not only did Stranger Things Season 5 near the 100 million mark, but it also had two other seasons on number five and ten, with another 100 million views combined.

According to the report, Wednesday topped the list at 124 million views, followed by Stranger Things Final Season at 94 million.
Third on the spot is Untamed Season 1, with just a million behind Stranger Things Season 5. Based in the complex expanse of the Yosemite National Park, a woman’s death triggers a series of thrilling events. This mystery stars Eric Bana, Sam Neill, Rosemarie DeWitt, Lily Santiago, and Wilson Bethel. With only six episodes, Untamed follows Kyle Turner and Paul Souter in a mysterious tale of events. It was also renewed for a second season in July 2025.
Squid Game shot to fame in the pandemic, setting a record for global viewership on the OTT platform. Having garnered 79 million views, Squid Game Season 3 ranked fourth on the list. Released in June 2025, it concluded the deadly storyline of gory games and marked Gi-Hun’s final confrontation with the Front Man. This season also marked the end of the Squid Game franchise created by Hwang Dong-hyuk.
On number five, Stranger Things Season 1 hit 57 million viewers with a hint of nostalgia, while some discovered the series after it finale was announced. While the first season premiered nearly a decade ago, it starred Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard as pre-teens. Marking the beginning of all things evil in Hawkins, this show managed to double its viewership from season 1 to 5.
