Megastar Chiranjeevi has once again shown why he’s a force to be reckoned with at the Box Office. His latest film, Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, directed by Anil Ravipudi, has officially crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in India in just four days.

Based on the latest reports from Sacnilk, the movie had a massive Thursday (Day 4), largely thanks to the Sankranti holiday crowds. The plot, which features Chiranjeevi as a tough NIA agent trying to win back his estranged wife – played by Nayanthara – and their kids, seems to be hitting all the right notes with family audiences.

Box Office performance

The film’s performance on Day 4 was especially impressive because it actually grew instead of encountering the dreaded midweek drop which is usually a collection killer for most movies. However, Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu saw a nearly 13 percent jump compared to the previous day which is not only rare to see but predictive of the film’s bright future. It brought in roughly Rs 24.14 crore on Thursday alone. The festive season has also contributed to this as Sankranti drew in large crowds who took advantage of the holiday to catch Chiranjeevi’s latest.

This brings the total India net collection to approximately Rs 103.99 crore. To put it into perspective: The film began it’s journey with Rs 9.35 crore in previews, opened with Rs 32.25 crore on Monday, and has stayed consistently strong throughout the week. It’s now officially one of the fastest films in Chiranjeevi’s career to hit the century mark domestically.

Theatre occupancy

On Thursday, the film recorded an impressive overall Telugu occupancy of 75.10 percent. The day started with about 52.46 percent for morning shows, but as people finished their festive celebrations, that number shot up to 86.03 percent in the afternoon and peaked at nearly 87 percent in the evening.

The film’s performance varied significantly across different cities, with Hyderabad recording an overall occupancy of 83 percent across 556 shows and peaking at 93 percent for evening screenings. Kakinada also saw a staggering number of footfalls with 94 percent overall occupancy, while cities like Guntur and Mahbubnagar followed closely with a strong 92.5 percent.

Other major centers including Vizag, Warangal, and Vijayawada saw impressive crowds as well, with occupancy rates ranging between 86 percent and 90 percent. And finally, in major metros outside the Telugu states the film held its ground, with Chennai recording 71.25 percent and Bengaluru seeing a solid 63.25 percent occupancy.
