The sequel of Salman Khan’s blockbuster movie ‘Judwaa’ starring Varun Dhawan finally hit the theatres this morning. It has been a relatively tough year for Bollywood with many big-budget films failing to impress the audience. The last big success was Toilet – Ek Prem Katha that released in the first half of August. However, Bollywood’s wait for a mega-hit might end with the release of Judwaa 2. According to a tweet by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie has got off to a brilliant start and we can expect solid collection on day 1. “Finally… some respite for the Hindi film industry… #Judwaa2 flies high as it opens to EXCELLENT houses… Expect a SOLID total on Day 1,” he said.

Judwaa has released amid a lot of buzz and excitement. The film was promoted well by Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox. They have also managed to keep the David Dhawan entertainer and such sustained has been the campaign that everything has turned around well for the film. Having a star like Varun Dhawan in the lead role who has no flops on box-office, is also helping the film. This time he has stepped into the big shoes of Salman Khan as Prem and Raja who played the double role in the movie that was released in 1997.

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Judwaa 2 box office collection on day 1 is likely to be around Rs 16-18 crore. Apart from Varun, the movie also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles.

One day before the release of the movie, Salman Khan met Varun Dhawan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala at the screening of Judwaa 2. Warda Nadiadwala shared a sweet photo of them blowing kisses and captioned it, “Kisses for all #judwaa2 let the show begin.”
