Unidentified people allegedly opened fire outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in Mumbai’s Juhu area, prompting a police and forensic response and heightened security in the locality. According to a police official quoted by PTI, “Someone fired on the building. Zonal police and crime branch teams are investigating.” The official said it was not immediately clear whether Shetty was at home at the time of the incident. Initial inputs indicated that four rounds were fired at the building by unidentified persons, and no injuries were reported. Following the firing, security outside the building was intensified, and a forensic science team was called in to collect evidence, the official added.

People present near the scene told India Today they heard at least four gunshots before security agencies moved in, and it reported that senior officers from the city police and crime branch reached shortly after the incident.

Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti confirming the incident and stating, “Someone fired on the building. Zonal police and the crime branch are investigating,” as quoted by India Today.
