Dhurandhar box office collection day 2: Ranveer Singh has had a blockbuster comeback, and his fans are here for it. His much-awaited spy thriller, Dhurandhar, released on the big screen on Friday, December 5, but had been making headlines even before its release. From being caught amid a defamation scandal to headliner Ranveer Singh being trolled for his hurtful imitation, the buzz around Dhurandhar was never silent.
The Aditya Dhar directorial has received rave reviews online as words like ‘brilliant’ are being used to describe it. Performances from iconic actors like Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna and Arjun Rampal have made the film larger than life.
Dhurandhar collection day 2: Box office update
After grossing Rs 27 crore on its opening day, not only did Dhurandhar become Ranveer Singh’s highest opener but also beat Saiyaara’s record, Bollywood’s biggest romantic film of 2025. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Ranveer Singh headliner had a massive jump on its opening weekend. Surpassing the Rs 30 crore mark, Dhurandhar’s domestic box office collection neared Rs 60 crore.
Before the Rs 58 crore day two collections, Dhurandhar’s worldwide collection had registered another Rs 32 crore. At this rate, a global Rs 100 crore remains only a matter of hours. The opening Saturday came as a redemption arc for Dhurandhar as it aims to break records on Sunday.
The occupancy rate improved as Dhurandhar filled nearly 40% seats across the 4000+ shows on its first Saturday. As night shows dominated with a 63%, Delhi NCR showered generous love over the Ranveer Singh starrer. Mumbai did not remain far behind as it managed to fill 42% seats across 1050 shows.
Is Dhurandhar 2 coming?
In simple words, yes! There will be another part and a ‘revenge’ will be the larger theme. With the date already out as March 19, fans are eager to see what lies ahead. However, several critics found the ‘to be continued’ a lousy attempt at keeping the audience hooked to the franchise.
Interestingly, the film will give stiff competition to Yash’s ‘Toxic’, the Kannada superstar’s first film since the KGF series, and Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4 – all releasing on the same day.
