Ranveer Singh’s upcoming spy-action thriller Dhurandhar is heading for release this Friday, and early numbers suggest it may become one of the biggest hits of 2025. Advance bookings opened four days before release and created strong interest among fans. The early collections show that viewers are eager to watch the film, helped partly by the high ticket prices across major cities.

Dhurandhar advance booking starts strong

The advance booking for Dhurandhar began on Monday. The film has started well in pre-sales, though the numbers are also influenced by the ‘blockbuster surcharge’ that theatres have added to ticket prices. This surcharge is usually applied to films expected to bring in heavy footfall. As a result, tickets for premium shows in metro cities have crossed Rs 2,000.

Early advance collection figures

As per early estimates by Sacnilk, Dhurandhar has made Rs 1.28 crore in all-India advance sales from 27,732 tickets across 2,578 shows. The Hindi 2D version collected Rs 1.12 crore from 25,265 tickets. IMAX 2D shows added another Rs 16.20 lakh from 2,467 tickets sold. When blocked seats are included, the film’s gross advance booking has reached around Rs 2.81 crore. These numbers point to a solid start on opening day.

Dhurandhar ticket prices across India

Advance booking has opened in just under 3,000 shows nationwide. The average ticket price for the regular version on Friday is Rs 307, and it is even higher for Sunday. For comparison, last week’s Tere Ishk Mein opened at an average ticket price of Rs 211.

In IMAX, the average ticket price for Dhurandhar is around Rs 570 for the weekend. Some premium screenings in Delhi and Mumbai are priced much higher. Recliner seats on Sunday are listed above Rs 1,600. PVR Director’s Cut in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj has the highest ticket price at Rs 2,400, and seats are already selling fast.

Premium shows at PVR Icon in Mumbai’s Andheri, priced at Rs 1,610, are sold out for Friday. Even cities like Gurgaon have premium tickets close to Rs 2,000. IMAX shows in many tier-1 cities are selling at over Rs 1,000.

Booking pace through the week

The film sold more than 20,000 tickets within the first few hours on Monday. The pace slowed down after that, which is normal for mid-week sales. The numbers are expected to rise again on Wednesday and Thursday as the release date approaches.
