Chiranjeevi has made his much-awaited comeback with Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu and the film certainly hasn’t disappointed the fans looking at its strong performance at the box office.
After opening with collections of Rs 32.25 crore on Monday, January 12, the film’s earnings continue to range in double digits in India, totalling Rs 80 crore at the domestic box office, as per trade website Sacnilk.
Chiranjeevi’s film storms the global box office
Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the movie has also been drawing massive audience worldwide as it has collected Rs 125.97 crore so far and is now eyeing Rs 150 crore globally.
The film’s entertainment quotient, Chiranjeevi’s star power, and its festive release have worked in its favour. Film’s paid premieres in North America got an amazing response too with the film grossing Rs 24 crore gross at the global box office.
Film’s deleted scenes to release online
Meanwhile, there is also some good news for the audience in store as some bonus content from the film is on way. Ravipudi has said he will release some deleted scenes on YouTube which will surely be a delightful addition for the film’s fans, according to an Indian Express report. One of the scenes reportedly is where Chiranjeevi has imitated VTV Ganesh.
Fans hail ‘wholesome Sankranti entertainer’
Fans have called Chiranjeevi’s comeback film, where he plays an intelligence officer, a wholesome Sankranti entertainer. With all the right festive ingredients, the film has been drawing family audiences to the theatres in huge numbers.
“It’s a pakka Pongal entertainer packed with fun, emotions, high-energy action, and mass moments that scream Sankranti feast! Must watch. Paisa vasool family entertainer,” a social media user posted X review after watching the film.
Chiranjeevi was last seen in Waltair Veerayya and Bhola Shankar in 2023, while the superstar will next be see in Vishwambhara, a fantasy film, slated to release in 2026.
Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu also stars Venkatesh, Nayanthara, Catherine Tresa, Sachin Khedekar, Sharat Saxena, Harsh Vardhan, and Abhinav Gomatham in key roles.
