Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is set to sign an MoU with the Telangana government for a state-of-the-art film studio and film city during The Telangana Rising Global Summit on December 8 and 9, according to a TOI report.
The international-standard film studio will feature cutting-edge animation, visual effects (VFX), and AI-powered smart studio facilities, an initiative that is aimed to give Telangana tourism a major boost.
Another MoU that will be signed during the summit, per reports, would be for Reliance Group’s Vantara wildlife conservatory and night safari.
Film studio to boost cinema infrastructure
Devgn met Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in July to express interest in the building up of the world-class film studio in the state.
As per an NDTV report, during the meeting the actor also proposed setting up a film institute, to nurture talent wishing to make inroads in cinema.
Requesting Reddy to support setting up of studio in the state, the actor said Telangana has great potential as a premier destination for cinema infrastructure in the country.
At the Telangana Rising Global Summit, being held at Bharat Future City, Devgn is expected to formalise the agreement with the state government. The Telangana government aims to develop Bharat Future City as a net-zero urban hub built to global standards, the CMO said in a statement.
As part of this vision, Foodlink F&B Holdings has proposed an integrated global convention centre along with three hotels, with an estimated investment of Rs 3,000 crore. The agreement for this project is also likely to be signed during the summit.
