The 33rd Hanteo Music Awards are just a few days away. On Sunday, February 15, various K-pop legends will be gathered under the same roof at KSPO Dome in Seoul to celebrate all things music. All winning spectacles that day will be decided on the basis on Hanteo Chart’s data on best artists and recordings from January to December 2025.

Singer-entertainer Lee Chan Won will be co-hosting the gala alongside Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany Young.

Last month, a source from Hanteo Global, the organiser and host of the HMAs affirmed that the annual South Korean event will continue its tradition of maintaining the “authority of the fairest awards ceremony,” K-media outlet The Chosun Daily reported.

Billed as “a K-pop grand festival where artists and fans together conclude” the past year, the Hanteo Music Awards has long been built on the foundations of fairness and trust, owing to the rankings compiled from the Hanteo Chart.

As per The Chosun, the Korean music chart puts together data on the basis of approximately 5,000 offline and online music sales points worldwide in addition to hundreds of millions of monthly data points from music, social media, portals and certified big data.

33rd Hanteo Music Awards lineup

Other than the winning announcements set to be made on D-Day, the 2025 Hanteo Music Awards or HMAs will also bring a large lineup of artists representing diverse musical genres on the stage.

Possibly, one of the most highly anticipated special performances at this year’s HMAs is that of beloved boy group PENTAGON. The music act is set to celebrate a monumental milestone since its 2016 debut. Through their 10th-anniversary stage, members Jinho, Hui, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One, Kino and Wooseok will finally reunite as PENTAGON.

Fans are already set to raise the roof with their deafening applause for the group that will come together following multiple member departures from Cube Entertainment from 2023 onwards. Even though this leaves out a few groups from the original lineup, K-pop lovers can’t help but smile for what’s about to come.

The “Daisy” hitmakers will also be honoured in the “10th anniversary – influential artist” category at the ceremony.

Others ready to deliver explosive presentations on Sunday were announced as part of the multiple lineup roll-outs consisting of a total of 23 artist teams. The first one featured Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, LUCY, ARTMS, ATEEZ, Lee Chan Won, Park Ji Hyeon, Hearts2Hearts, Hwang Karam, Kim Hee Jae and Son Tae Jin.

Thereafter, the second lineup revelation included NOWZ, Billlie, xikers, idntt, WEi, Yoon Jongshin, tripleS, and Forestella.

Finally, an additional special lineup announcement also confirmed the presence of 8TURN, WING, Lee Youngji and BTOB’s Changsub at the HMAs 2025.
