It would be an understatement to say that K-pop sensation and BLACKPINK member Jennie didn’t leave the 2026 Golden Disc Awards venue empty-handed. The beloved multi-faceted powerhouse performer, who’s already got her flowers for previously setting the Coachella stage on fire, turned the 40th Golden Disc Awards with Upbit into her own full-fledged concert this weekend.
Fans held their breath as they awaited the K-pop diva’s stellar performance on Saturday, January 10, at the Taipei Dome in Taiwan. And she did not disappoint. The grand finale was reserved for the Korean singer, who’s affectionately dubbed as ‘Human Chanel,’ ‘mother’ and ‘queen,’ among many other nicknames. Once she took over, viewers were blessed with exceptionally distinguished hard-hitters from her debut solo album “Ruby.”
The sentiment was equally reciprocated, as Jennie, on her part, couldn’t stay off the stage with winning announcements beckoning her over one too many times.
Jennie collects back-to-back awards at the 2026 GDAs
Not only did she deliver a breathtaking setlist onstage, but she was herself left breathless when compelled to pace back and forth between her seat and the stage to accept back-to-back glorious accolades at the GDAs on Saturday. The triumphant streak kicked off with Jennie being announced as one of the winners of the Best Digital Song main prize.

Moments after she’d settled back in her seat after collecting the award, Jennie was called back on stage to take home the same trophy, but for her band BLACKPINK’s single “Jump.” Although she picked up the golden trophy all by herself, she didn’t forget to give a heartfelt shout-out to her fellow members absent from the live event.
“Blackpink won an award, are our members watching? I can see our Blinks,” she said during her acceptance speech. “I can’t talk right now because the members are not here, but I think Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa will be very happy.”

As it so happened, her bandmate Jisoo was indeed watching. The proud BLACKPINK member shared recorded receipts on her Instagram Story as proof that she was cheering on Jennie at home.
But that was not all. Jennie was called back on stage for a third time in just 10 minutes, as she was also crowned the Global Impact Award winner. Her breathless winning streak still didn’t there. A while later, the “Zen” singer took to the stage to deliver her electrifying, concert-like performance.
Dripping with sweat, the exhausted performer had barely settled back into her seat, when a minute later her name was announced once more. She didn’t even have enough time to change out of her stage attire, and ended up ascending the GDA stage’s stairs in what fans have now branded as her “Matrix” outfit. This time, Jennie was welcomed back to take one of the biggest honours of the night, the Artist of the Year (Grand Prize) trophy.

BLACKPINK Jennie’s Golden Disc Awards setlist
Although stepping out as a soloist onto the Golden Disc Awards stage on Saturday, Jennie wasn’t alone when delivering several breakout hits from her latest solo album “Ruby.” The “Solo” hit-maker donned an all-black leather outfit for her showstopping and dazzling moment at the live ceremony.
Surrounded by a troupe of supporting dancers, Jennie’s black attire stood out in a sea of red performers. With millions of real-time viewers tuning in (on the official livestream) for her performance at the 2026 Golden Disc Awards, the K-pop icon chose to showcase her popular tracks “Filter,” “Damn Right,” and “like JENNIE.”
40th Golden Disc Awards: Jennie’s red carpet moment
Staying true to her stage name Jennie Ruby Jane and her debut solo album’s title “Ruby,” the BLACKPINK singer made heads turn on the red carpet, as she stepped out out in a red-coloured custom Maison Margiela Fall/Winter 2025 Haute Couture piece by Glenn Martens. She paired the gown with what was apparently a custom-made David Morris Ruby necklace.
Her choice to go red for the red carpet was a bold move in itself, considering such Korean award shows witness a minimalist vibe with celebrities turning up in simple black-and-white lavish options more often than not.
