UPSC Recruitment 2019: Application for 323 vacancies begins today; check details at upsc.gov.in

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Wednesday invited candidates for vacancies in Central Armed Police Force (CAPF). The process of application commenced from today onwards. The interested candidates can apply online at the official website of UPSC i.e. upsc.gov.in.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Wednesday invited candidates for vacancies in Central Armed Police Force (CAPF). The process of application commenced from today onwards. The interested candidates can apply online at the official website of UPSC i.e. upsc.gov.in. The last date for application is May 20, 2019. The recruitment exam to fill the vacant posts will take place on August 18, 2019.

According to the official notification, the UPSC has released the vacancy for 323 positions.

Total Vacancies for UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2019: 323

CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force)- 108
BSF (Border Security Force)- 100
SSB (Seema Suraksha Bal)- 66
CISF (Central Industrial Security Force)- 28
ITBP (Indo Tibetan Border Police)- 21

Eligibility conditions for the exam:

The candidate should be an Indian citizen and must have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognised university.

Application process starts: April 24, 2019
Last date to apply online: May 20, 2019
Last day for fee payment: May 20, 2019
Exam date: August 18, 2019

UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2019 Exam pattern:

The Union Public Service Commission will conduct the CAPF examination on August 18. The exam will comprise of two papers of 450 marks. There is a negative marking for wrong answers.

Paper 1 – The paper 1 is General Ability and Intelligence paper of 250 marks.

Paper 2 – The paper 2 is General Studies, Essay and Comprehension which will be for 200 marks.

The applicants who qualify in the written test, will be called for physical standards or physical efficiency tests and medical tests.

The candidates who clear both written and physical standards test will be called for a Personal Interview which will be for 150 marks.

The final list will be published on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the Written test and personal interview.

The examinations for CAPF Recruitment 2019 will take place across 41 cities. The centres are:- Agartala, Hyderabad, Patna, Ahmedabad, Imphal, Port Blair, Aizawl, Itanagar, Prayagraj, Bangalore, Jaipur, Raipur, Bareilly, Jammu, Ranchi, Bhopal, Jorhat, Sambalpur, Chandigarh, Kochi, Shillong, Chennai, Kohima, Shimla, Cuttack, Kolkata, Srinagar, Dehradun, Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Delhi, Madurai, Tirupati, Dharwad, Mumbai, Udaipur, Dispur, Nagpur, Vishakhapatnam, Gangtok, Panaji.
