UPSC recruitment 2018: The Union Public Service Commission has announced new vacancies for various posts under central ministries at upsconline.nic.in. Candidates who are interested and eligible must note that they can now apply online visiting the official website. This time UPSC will conduct examination for the appointment of Aeronautical Officer, Mechanical Scientist, Assistant Chemist and other. “Candidates must apply online through the website upsconline.nic.in. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected, ” as per the job notification. Before applying candidates must note that they should know about the duties, educational qualification, age limit etc.

UPSC recruitment 2018: Here are all the details relating to the vacancies:-

1. Assistant Chemist, Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines: 11 posts

Duties: Analytical work relating to rocks, minerals, ores, metals, alloys allied materials and assaying of precious metals.

Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in any branch of Chemistry or Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or Institution or Degree or Diploma conferred by the Associate Institute of Chemist (India) in Chemistry.

2. Assistant Commissioner (Crops), Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare: 01 post.

Duties: (i) Planning, implementation and monitoring of crops production oriented schemes like Integrated Farming System Development and watershed development/management in rainfed areas. (ii) To maintain a closer interaction with the research on crop production technology and wateshed development in rainfed areas. (iii) Project formulation & monitoring of different Projects, Collection and compilation of information relating to Schemes and other related matters.

Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics or Agricultural Extension or Agronomy or Entomology or Nematology or Genetics and Plant Breeding or Agriculture Botany or Plant Biotechnology or Plant Pathology or Plant Physiology or Seed Science and Technology or Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry with three years experience in the area of production and productivity in food or cash crops.
3. Aeronautical Officer, Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation: 12 posts

Duties: Responsible for all type certificate work including approval of engineering drawings, witnessing of static and other related tests to determine conformity of design features and manufacturing process to relevant airworthiness requirements. To assist Director (AE) on spot approval of structural modifications etc.

Educational Qualification: Degree in Aeronautical or Electrical or Electronics or Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized university.

4. Scientist ‘B’ (Mechanical), National Test House, Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution: 02 posts
Duties: Scientist ‘B’ (Mechanical) is overall In-Charge of Laboratory. Scientist ‘B’ (Mechanical) scrutinizes test, requests, allocates samples to Scientific Assistants & Scientific Officers, supervises technical/ administrative problems, checks draft Test Certificates, signs official Test Certificates. Initiates purchase cases. Assists Scientist ‘C’ in all works.

Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Physics from a recognised University or Institute. OR Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering from a recognised University or Institute.
Application fee: Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.

rejected.

Candidates must upload the following documents/certificates relating to educational qualification, Date of Birth, Experience (preferably in prescribed format), Desirable Qualification(s) or any other information, as claimed in the online application, in a single pdf file in such a way that the file size does not exceed 2 MB and is legible when a printout taken. For that purpose, the applicant may scan the following documents/certificates in 200 dpi grey scale. Documents like Pay Slip, Resume, Appointment Letter, Relieving Letter, Un-signed Experience Certificate etc.
