UPSC IFS Mains examination 2017: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Detailed Application Form (DAF) form on its official website at upsc.gov.in. Candidates who successfully cleared the Indian Forest Services Prelims examination can fill the Detailed Application Form on the official website to appear for the mains. According to the official notification released, “The Main Examination in the scheme of the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2017 will be held from 3rd December, 2017.” It added that the exam will be held at -Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Port Blair and Shimla.
UPSC will make the detailed time table for IFS 2017 examination available at the time of the admit card download. Candidates should read these instructions carefully before filling in the online Detailed Application Form. The candidate should also scan their relevant original documents as listed below in 200 dpi grey scale and convert to a single pdf file up to 2 mb, before filling in the online Detailed Application Form (DAF). Note that Originals of the certificates are required to be produced along with self certified copies of all the documents at the time of interview or within the last day of interview, which will be published in the Commission’s website in due course, failing which their candidature is liable to be cancelled. It may also be noted that in no case the last date of verification of certificates will be extended. Candidate must also note that they should upload only the scanned copies of the original documents and no document is required to be sent by post, as instructed by UPSC on the official website.
DAF Fees- Candidates applying (excepting Female/SC/ST/PH candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) for Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination are required to pay a fee of Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using Net Banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit card.
