UPSC 2019: Are you one of those who dreams of becoming an IAS, IPS or IFS officer, and has not applied for UPSC civil services exam yet. Then you have till March 18 to apply for it.

The UPSC will be conducting the prelims exam for civil services to recruit as many as 896 civil service officers on 2nd June 2019.

The registration for the exam began on 19th February and will close on 18th March, next Monday.

UPSC 2019: Important Dates:

Application process began: February 19, 2019
Last date of application: March 18, 2019
Date of UPSC Prelims: June 2, 2019
Date of UPSC Mains: From September 20, 2019 (will be held for five days)

UPSC 2019: Age Limit:

To apply for the civil services, the candidate should be of minimum 21 years of age, the upper age limit is 32 years as of August 1, 2019. The candidates should not be born before August 1, 1987, or after August 1, 1998.

UPSC 2019: Educational Qualification:

To apply for UPSC civil services, a person should have a graduation degree from a recognised university.

The notification for UPSC was released on February 19, 2019, and the registration process was also started.

> Visit the official site of UPSC at https://upsconline.nic.in/mainmenu2.php

> Read the instructions in Part 1 of registration and accept it

> Fill in the form with relevant details

> IPSC will provide a registration ID and password

> Go to Part 2 of registration and login with the registration ID and password provided

> Fill in the form with relevant details

> Click on Submit

UPSC Recruitment Process:

The exam is divided into three parts – prelims, mains and interview. Candidates have to qualify each level to go to the next one.

The Prelims part has two papers of 200 marks each and is objective type. It is of the qualifying type.

The mains exam is of 1750 marks and has a number of papers. The interview holds another 275 marks. Marks obtained in these two exams determine the rank offered to a person.
