The Union Public Commission (UPSC) today ended the process of receiving applications for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination II at 6 pm. The commission will make the admit cards available between September and October 2017. The UPSC CDS examination II will be conducted on 19th November this year. The candidates who qualify in the written examination will have to register themselves on the official website of recruiting directorate joimindianarmy.nic.in. Then only a candidate will receive call for SSB interview, according to jagranjosh.
Nearly 414 posts will be filled through this exam, 100 for the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, 45 for Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, 32 posts for Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, 225 posts for Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai, 108th SSC Course (NT) (For Men) and 12 posts for Officers Training Academy, Chennai—22nd SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course, as per Hindustan Times.

The male candidates who are eligible for the post should be not less than July 2, 1994, born and not later than July 1, 1999. For the Indian Air Force, age should be 20 to 24 years. While only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply in the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force, only married candidates above 25 years of age can apply in the latter, as per India Today.
Educational Qualification for the post:
1. Candidates who are interested in IMA and Officers’ Training Academy need to possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent.
2. For Indian Naval Academy, the applicants must possess a degree in Engineering from a recognised university or Institution.
3. Those who are interested in Air Force Academy must possess a degree from a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics in Class 12) or a Bachelor of Engineering.
