St Stephen’s college today announced its admission scheduled but remained silent on whether it will join the centralised registration process of DU as decided by the university.
DU had yesterday announced that minority colleges such as St Stephen’s and Jesus and Mary college will now join the centralised admission process from the upcoming academic session rather than having separate registrations.
However, thereafter they will follow their own admission policy for selection of students and announce their separate cut-offs.
According to the notified schedule, the online application form will be available from May 28 but the website has no mention of the last date.
However, the college has issued the tentative schedule for the aptitude test and interviews, which will start from June 20 and finish on July 9.
John Verghese, principal, refused to comment on the issue of centralised online registration.
“Keep checking the website. We will announce the detailed admission schedule and policy soon,” he said.
Varghese is believed to have opposed the move during discussion by a 24-member committee working on admission policy for the upcoming academic session.
