Shiv Nadar University is celebrating its Third Annual Techno-Cultural Sports fest from 22nd to 24th October. SNU is a private philanthropic institution established by the Shiv Nadar Foundation in 2011. This year’s theme is “Time Travel” and the fest will host over 7,000 people and involve a wide medley of events that would range from music, art, photography, dance, dramatics, quizzing, debate and literary events.
This year’s edition of Breeze shall witness star performers such as the band Astitva, and the Neha Kakkar who will entertain the crowd with her captivating voice and popular tracks. There will be multiple events hosted by different societies and clubs over a period of three days conducted by the Dramatics, Dance and Literary Societies. There will also be various interesting competitions held by Economics, Civil as well as Mechanical Engineering Societies. Shiv Nadar University also has a film appreciation society which attracts the maximum crowd due to its exciting prizes and events. MUN society of SNU would be based on MUN-2050 this year corresponding to the theme of travelling in time. The fest will also hold a retro themed ballroom dance. There will be various tournaments of different sports such as Football, Cricket, Basketball, Tennis, badminton, Chess, Volleyball.
Shiv Nadar University students have been trying to create a special ‘buzz’ to promote the fest. The dramatics society of SNU was seen performing their much appreciated street play, ‘ Bheek ki Seekh’ in Kamla Nagar and IIT-Delhi last week. The students also made their presence felt at Cannaught place’s Raahgiri on 18th October where the dance, dramatics and music society of SNU performed to boost their fest’s popularity. Students of SNU, along with The Dance Society of SNU went to Shipra Mall on 20th October, to perform a Flash Mob event in the evening.
From shows to full-fledged music festivals alongside a wide assortment of competitive events, Shiv Nadar University’s annual fest will be featuring an exotic ensemble of entertainment artists ranging from contortionists to street dancers to musicians to illusionists which appropriately matches the fest’s tagline, Rise With The Breeze!
