Maharastra State Board examination paper on ‘Book keeping and Accountancy’ was leaked in Kandivali. Three people have been detained so far in respect with paper leaks. The examination for this paper was supposed to be held on March 10. According to Hindustan Times report, before this incident 5 such instances have already taken place where papers where leaked on Whatsapp. The continuous Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) paper leaks have left the students feeling skittish about a probable re- examination.

Business Standard reported earlier that the continuous leak of examination paper in HSC Examination required a Maharashtra State Board intervention. Hence the board has posted 1533 assistant supervisor at all the board examination centre. The decision had been taken to keep a strong vigil on the examinees and report any discrepancy.

Papers like Marathi, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics and Secretarial Practice had gone viral earlier just minutes before the examination. Dattatray Jagtap who is the chairman of Konkan division of the Board had filed a complaint with Vashi police in the neighbouring Navi Mumbai.

The class 12th Secretarial Practise paper was scheduled to begin from 11 am, but photographs of three pages of the question-paper began to circulate on WhatsApp from 10.46 am, Board officials had earler found. They claimed that it is the same way in which Marathi paper was leaked as well. Bihar Secondary Education Board (BSEB) examination had begun amid alleged question paper leak rumours on February 14. Though the board had dismissed the allegations calling them ‘ false and fake’, the authenticity is yet to be decided. Continual news of paper leaks and mass cheating under various State Boards makes its function in the states questionable.
