UPSC Recruitment 2018: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has come out with an official notification for National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) examination (I) 2018. Those aspiring to join Indian defence services may check for the same at the official website of the commission, upsconline.nic.in. Those selected will get the admission at NDA and INA. Candidates can register their application till February 5. The exam will be conducted on April 22 for admission to the army, navy and air force wings of the the defence forces, for the 141th course, and for the 103rd Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from January 2, 2019. Those clearing the exam will have to appear for SSB interview.

The UPSC has released notification in a total of 360 posts. Of these, army is looking to fill up 208, while Navy and Air Force are looking to fill up 60 and 92 respectively. For Naval Academy, UPSC has issued notification for 55 posts. Those willing to serve the Indian defence forces must be an Indian national or a subject of Bhutan or Nepal, Tibetan refugee came over to India before January 2, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India may also apply.

Foe army, aspiring candidates must have passed class 12 (10+2) pattern of school education or equivalent examination conducted by a state education board or university. For candidates who want to serve the Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and INA, they also must have passed class 12 (10+2) pattern of school education or equivalent examination conducted by a state education board or university with physics and mathematics. Selection of candidates will be based on their performances in the written examination followed by intelligence and personality test by the Services Selection Board (SSB). In 2017, the NDA NA I was conducted on April 23. The process of registration is divided into two parts:

Part I: Filling up of basic information

Part II: Filling up payment details, selection of examination centre, uploading of photograph and signature and declaration.
