JKSSB recruitment 2017: 2,154 seats for teachers on offer in Jammu and Kashmir

JKSSB recruitment 2017: Mehbooba Mufti government has set next four months as the deadline and directed the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board to complete the much-awaited recruitment for 2,154 teachers in the state. To meet the shortage of staff in schools, the department of education has earlier referred 3450 posts to JKSSB which include 2,154 vacancies for teachers and 1,289 for non-teaching staff. The Board was instructed by the government to comply with the order to meet the shortage of staff in the schools.

Earlier today Mehbooba Mufti expressed that the education is a top priority in Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti’s tweet read, “To meet the dearth of staff in schools we have directed the J&K Services Selection Board to complete the recruitment for 2,154 teachers’ posts in the next 4 months. Education a top priority for us.”

In a meeting on Friday, the state Minister for Education Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari asked School Education Department Secretary Farooq Ahmed Shah and JKSSB Chairperson Simrandeep Singh to coordinate and complete the paperwork and start the recruitment process in January.

According to Indian Express, The Education minister directed the SSB chairperson to complete the recruitment in all respects in next four months. Bukhari also set a three-month deadline for completing the ongoing recruitment for 1,289 non-teaching staff posts. The SSB chairperson has assured that the recruitment process would be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
