IIM Rohtak Placements 2018: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Rohtak is just done with its final placements for 2018 and what a cracker of a placement season it has been for the Haryana Institute. In its recently concluded placement season, IIM Rohtak has managed to get a 100 percent placement, but not only this, the institute also boasts of a student who has bagged a whopping package of Rs 30 lakh per annum. This offer is the highest for the business school since its inception in 2009, as per the spokesperson of the institute. The identity of the student and the company providing the offer have not been revealed as part of the agreement that is signed between the B-school and recruiters.

IIM Rohtak students have received 139 offers from 90 recruiters with an average salary of Rs 26 lakh a year. However, the average salary of the batch this year was Rs 11.7 lakh, 5% less than last year’s Rs 12.3 lakh. At least 29 percent of the total recruitment was done under the marketing sector. This year also witnessed a fivefold increase in the number of FMCG companies visiting the campus. Finance emerged as the highest paying domain and a preferred choice with 26% of the batch opting for it. Prominent banks such as ICICI, RBL, Yes Bank, HDFC, SBI, Standard Chartered, IDFC, Federal Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank recruited for multiple roles. There was also a 75% increase in the number of new companies visiting the campus. Apart from Marketing and Finance, recruiters also went for students from General Management background. 21 percent of the placement accounted for this sector, followed by analytics, Strategy, Consulting and Operations.

IIM Rohtak Director Dheeraj Sharma said in a press release said that the institute has recorded a 16 percent increase in the highest salary offered because of the diversified pool of student talent at the institute that catered to various sectors of the industry. He added that the placement season is the testimony to the belief of recruiters in the students of the institute.

Last year for the batch of 2017, IIM Rohtak recorded 10.1 percent higher average salary for the batch of 158 students. The institute witnessed participation of recruiters across varied domains recording again 100% placement. The highest salary offered stood at Rs. 25.9 lakhs whereas the average salary was Rs. 12.3 lakh
