Delhi University Winter Break: In response to alarming air pollution, the University of Delhi has advanced its winter break, closing from November 13 to 19, 2023, as per the official announcement. The decision is prompted by the implementation of GRAP-IV measures to address the ongoing air pollution crisis in Delhi.

Exam dates for UG and PG courses have been rescheduled to start on December 20 and January 8, 2024, with the detailed schedule for all programs set to be released soon. Notably, SOL students’ exams will proceed as scheduled, with UG exams originally set for December 13 and PG exams for January 1.

Delhi School Winter Vacations 2023: Concurrently, the Delhi government has declared a winter break for schools in response to rising air pollution, closing them from November 9 to 18, 2023, deviating from the usual December-January schedule. All classes in Delhi, except for grades 10 and 12, will be canceled due to pollution, with these specific classes conducted virtually. The rescheduled break aims to minimize the impact on students while addressing the pollution concerns.

Delhi’s air quality index has persistently been categorized as ‘severe’ in recent days. Despite a slight improvement earlier in the week, the condition has deteriorated again, with Anand Vihar registering an AQI of 999, while other areas continue to face severe air quality situations.
