The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has announced that the West Bengal Madhyamik Result 2026 will be declared on May 8, 2026, as per an official press release issued on April 17. Students who appeared for the exam will be able to check their results on the official WBBSE website, wbbse.wb.gov.in,
Along with the results, the board will also release important details such as overall pass percentage, toppers’ list, and district-wise performance. To access their scorecards, students will need their roll number and captcha.
The WBBSE Class 10 exams were conducted from February 2 to February 12 in a single shift each day. This year, 9,71,340 students appeared for the Madhyamik exam, slightly higher than last year’s 9,69,425 candidates. Of the total, 4,26,733 were boys, 5,44,606 were girls, and one candidate was transgender.

WBBSE Madhyamik Board Result 2026: What is the passing criteria?
To pass the WBBSE Madhyamik exam, students must secure the minimum qualifying marks set by the board. A candidate is required to score at least 272 marks out of 800 in total to pass the examination.
In each theory paper, students must obtain a minimum of 30 marks out of 90, while in internal assessment or practical exams, at least 3 marks out of 10 are needed. Along with the overall score, students must also meet the subject-wise passing requirements to be declared successful in the exam.
