In case there is a tie between candidates obtaining the same total, NTA will resolve the issue in the following order

1. NTA score in mathematics
2. NTA score in physics
3. NTA score in chemistry

4. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the test, followed by;

5. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in mathematics in the test, followed by;

6. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in physics in the test, followed by;

7. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in chemistry in the test followed by;

8. If there is a tie even after this, candidates will be assigned the same rank

As per the JEE Main marking scheme, if all options are found to be correct, NTA will allot full marks for the questions in JEE Main April session.

The NTA will not release the JEE Main Session 2 Paper 2 result today. The date and answer key is yet to be released for BArch and BPlanning examination which was held on April 9.

After clearing the JEE Main 2025 cut-off, students can apply to NITs, IITs, GFITs via the JoSAA portal which is expected to be live in June. Those not opting for the JEE Advanced can still pursue admission through JEE Main ranks.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is predicted to commence their centralised counselling in June 2025 tentatively

The JEE Advanced cut-off is decided on the base of the normalised NTA scores across the two sessions. Even if you have just appeared for one session for the JEE Main 2025, till the time you meet the cut-off scale you will clear the JEE Advanced 2025 eligibility criteria.
