NTA JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Answer Key Released: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday released the provisional answer key and response sheets for JEE Main 2026 Session 1. Students who appeared for the examination can now check their responses and raise objections against the answer key on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The results for the session are scheduled to be announced on February 12, 2026.

Step-by-Step Process to Check Answer Key and Response Sheets

Candidates can view and download their answer key and response sheets by visiting the official NTA portal. To access the documents, students need to click on the link for “JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1 – Answer Key and Response Sheet” and log in using their application number, date of birth, and security pin. The provisional answer key allows students to verify their answers and estimate scores before the final results are declared.

How to Raise Objections Against the Provisional Answer Key

Students can challenge specific questions in the answer key by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per question via debit/credit card or net banking. “The payment for the processing fee may be made through, Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking till 06 February 2026 (up to 11:50 PM). No challenge will be entertained without receipt of the processing fee. The fee towards the challenge will not be accepted through any other mode. No Challenge will be accepted after 06 February 2026 (11:50 PM),” the official notice stated.

To raise objections, candidates need to log in to the ‘Candidate Portal’ on the official website, select the questions they want to challenge, upload supporting documents or explanations, and submit their objection before the deadline. Once the objections are reviewed, the final answer key will be published, and results will be announced accordingly. Candidates will not receive individual notifications regarding the acceptance or rejection of their challenges.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration Underway

Meanwhile, the application process for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 is ongoing, with the last date to apply being February 25. The examination will be conducted from April 2 to April 9 in two shifts. Students who appeared in the January session can also apply for the April attempt. Like the first session, the second session will consist of Paper 1 and Paper 2, catering to BE/BTech and BArch/BPlanning aspirants.
