As many as 231 solar panels have been installed at the station for tapping into environment-friendly energy consumption
Two plastic bottle crushing machines have been set up in the station premises

Meanwhile, as part of Piyush Goyal-led Railway Ministry’s station development and beautification program, the Jhunjhuna station in Rajasthan was redeveloped with better infrastructure, passenger-friendly amenities and parking facilities. Several other stations on the network have been renovated recently, transforming the experience of railway passengers. Indian Railways stations such as Gwalior, Amritsar, Sabarmati, Habibganj, Gandhinagar have been slated to be redeveloped into world-class airport-like stations.
